FINAL WEEKS TO REGISTER FOR THE NATIONAL TAPAS CHAMPIONSHIP AND WORLD TAPAS COMPETITION – CITY OF VALLADOLID

So far, more than 350 people have registered for the National Championship, while around 180 have signed up for the World Competition. The qualifying competitions in Oceania, the United Kingdom, and Asia have already taken place, and the Americas competition will be held at the end of this month. Registration for the European and African competitions remains open.

Once again, the Sociedad Mixta para la Promoción del Turismo de Valladolid, S.L. of the Valladolid City Council, in collaboration with the Valladolid Provincial Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs, announces the 21st edition of the National Pinchos and Tapas Championship and the 9th World Tapas Competition, which will take place on November 10th, 11th and 12th at the Cúpula del Milenio in Valladolid. Participants may submit their applications until September 30th for the National Championship and until September 21st for the World Competition, via the event’s official website.

• A total of 45 finalists from across Spain’s autonomous communities will compete in the final phase of the National Championship on November 11th and 12th.

• In the International Competition, 15 foreign finalists will be joined by the Spanish winner of last year’s National Championship, bringing the total to 16 participants.

• A total of €30,000 in prizes will be awarded across both competitions.The finalist creations from both competitions will be available for tasting at participating venues throughout the city as part of the Tapas Festival, taking place from November 11th to 16th.
