Meanwhile, the 10th World Tapas Championship closed its registration period yesterday.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>


The World Tapas Championship of Valladolid begins long before its grand final.<\/strong> Throughout the year, a number of international qualifying competitions<\/strong> are held to select the chefs who will represent their respective territories in Valladolid. The winners of the competitions in the United Kingdom, India, Malaysia, Ecuador, Texas and Switzerland earn a place in the Championship, as do the first- and second-place finishers from Oceania and Africa \u2014 provided they represent different countries<\/strong> \u2014 and the top three finishers from Asia. In this way, the Championship has built an international network that brings together chefs from different countries, cultures and culinary traditions in Valladolid.<\/span><\/p>

Once again this year, the Sociedad Mixta para la Promoci\u00f3n del Turismo de Valladolid, S.L., an organisation of Valladolid City Council, in collaboration with the Provincial Association of Hospitality Businesses of Valladolid, is organising the 22nd edition of the National Pinchos and Tapas Competition and the 10th World Tapas Championship. Both events will take place on 9, 10 and 11 November at the C\u00fapula del Milenio in Valladolid.<\/p>

Those wishing to participate in the national competition have until 30 September to submit their application. To apply, they must access the event website.<\/p>

Meanwhile, yesterday, 21 September, marked the closing of the registration period for the World Tapas Championship.<\/p>

A total of 45 finalists, representing all of Spain’s autonomous communities, will reach the final stage of the national competition on 9 and 10 November.<\/p>

For the international competition, 15 international finalists will compete on the morning of 11 November. They will be joined by the Spanish chef who won last year’s National Competition, Alejandro San Mart\u00edn of Habanero Taquer\u00eda, bringing the total number of finalists to 16.<\/p>

A total of \u20ac30,000 in prize money will be awarded to the winners of the two competitions.<\/p>

The finalist creations from both competitions will be available to taste at establishments throughout the city as part of the Tapas Festival, which will take place from 10 to 15 November.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
